Dear CyberLearning Technology:

We are writing you today to share with you the success our family has experienced using your SMART BrainGames Technology (SBG), and to express our appreciation. About a year ago, our son, who is now 10, began using your SBG system. Our son had been diagnosed on the autism spectrum 7 years ago, and after many helpful interventions he is now considered very high functioning. However he still had had some remaining troubling symptoms, which more resembled those of attention deficit disorder (namely distractibility, poor concentration and focus, poor memory). As his parents, we were looking for a safe, non-pharmaceutical approach to addressing these remaining issues. After much research, neurofeedback had attracted our attention. We were impressed with the numerous studies we had read that showed neurofeedback as providing significant improvements in the areas we were concerned with. But the cost for traditional in-office neurofeedback was prohibitive to us. That is, until we learned of your organization, that provided all the benefits of in-office neurofeedback at home, and at a fraction of the cost. Your system's use of popular children's video games was an added plus, since our son was known for becoming easily bored with repetitive exercises or therapies.

Our son took to this technology right away! He still eagerly looks forward to his “training” sessions, while we were and are pleased that he is having fun while undergoing “therapy”. Within a few months, we noticed several positive changes in his behavior. He no longer took an hour to complete his math assignments. Before neurofeedback, our son could be found staring into space, zoned out, while his math workbook sat in front of him untouched. I needed to verbally prompt him repeatedly to get back to his work. He had begun to hate math, (a favorite subject), because he couldn't seem to keep his mind focused on what he was doing. All of that is now completely gone. He now starts and completes his math assignments with diligence and accuracy, often saying, “This is easy! I'm done already!” I never need to prompt him any longer. This benefit has carried over to his other school subjects as well, such as handwriting, grammar, and test-taking. Although he had always been a good student and quite bright, our son is now overall more conscientious and enthusiastic about his schoolwork. School is a pleasure now.

But positive school habits were not the only benefits we've observed over the past year of neurofeedback training. Our son has also now become more self-aware; a trait that many on the autism spectrum lack. He is currently learning to recognize and understand his own emotions, and is beginning to show signs of self-regulation; an important developmental skill. Prior to neurofeedback, our son was prone to temper tantrums or other disagreeable outbursts whenever he became upset or frustrated. These extreme behaviors are largely a thing of the past now. As he has become more aware of his feelings, and what they mean, he has and is continuing to learn that he can control his impulses and make better choices. It is encouraging to watch our son mature in these important areas.

Thank you for providing a means of improving our son's current quality of life, and increasing his future potential. We look forward to seeing more breakthroughs in our son's development in the months to come. We also wish to express our appreciation to your organization for providing a neurofeedback system that ordinary families can use in the convenience of their homes, that is affordable, fun, non-invasive, and that works! Your product has renewed our hope for our son's future.
